Every day, organisational decision makers struggle to find ways to improve the “bottom line.” Having a desire to find better ways of selecting employees is one of these struggles. According to recent research in the United States, the cost of hiring the wrong person could be as high as ten times their annual salary. While employment selection decisions are often conducted by personnel professionals, promotion decisions are often made by managers in all types of departments and at all levels of management. Hence the success of recruitment and selection should be an integral process to determine the suitability of the candidate in both the short term work demands and also long term management goals. This workshop presents the application of assessment tools for a successful recruitment and selection.
